VCF Santos 1-0 Nailsea

Not our greatest performance today but we will take the 3 points. first half was scoreless although we hit the crossbar twice and Nailsea had a couple of half chances due to defensive errors neither side were setting the World alight with their football!

2nd Half, we started brightly creating a few opportunities but our finishing let us down. If I'm honest the referee gave us a generous penalty which wasn't clear cut for me. Jack Williams slotted it away cooly and we were off the mark. We continued to apply pressure and a few half chances came a begging but our passing was poor especially in the last 3rd as we found it hard to break down a well organised back 4. Nailsea are a good team and their league position doesn't reflect what they are capable of. Roll on next week and hopefully we can perform better against Welton.

Pitch at Bath Uni was not as heavy as I expected.

Kensignton Baps 2-4 Pip n Jay (HT 2-3)

Goals from Ken (2), Ali Macfarlane & Travis T. Better performance than last week, and should have scored more but for wayward finishing in the 2nd half. KB have some useful players and I enjoyed playing at Whitehall (1st time ever played there!). The return of Wes helped our attack but we still continue to concede sloppy goals (1 my fault). So back on the road in the league, back up above Thornbury and SAS.

A real shame a fair few matches got cancelled, the pitch was fine (although I can imagine at Failand it would've been fairly soggy).

Roll on Christchurch next saturday.

Nice to hear Packers is in good shape and that you enjoyed our pitch Phil. It seems like an eternity since we were last there!

It was great Ian, hopefully play your lot in the league next season (!) or if not a friendly in the near future. Have a good week.

Goals from:

M.Lacey
F.Lines
C.Maidment

Went 2-0 up, 2-1 HT, then 3-2 down, back to 3-3.

I missed a sitter 5 from time to steal it.

Lovely pitch, wouldn't mind playing on that every week!
The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.
