As we head towards the business end of the season with the top and bottom of the table taking shape its another fun filled weekend of footy in the BCFA this weekend.

Div 1

Hillfields v Widcombe - match of the day in the 6 pointer. Feels like Widcombe haven't played in ages so I'm backing Hillfields' to win this one, especially on their ropey pitch ! Home win.

Kensington v Pips - Pips aren't in good form at the moment but with Wes back from his ban I think they will be too strong for Kensington, away win.

Woodies v TBC - TBC are the form team at the moment so I know it will be a tough game. We are playing pretty well at the moment so should be a good game. Always enjoy our games with TBC, to me they display what the BCFA is all about.

Surprised to see no games for BS XI, Slip, SAS and Christchurch but enjoy the week off. Seems like BS XI haven't played in ages either.

Div 2

Pistols v Powerhouse - a win gets either side clear of relegation. Home win.

Corinthians v Welton - another 6 pointer, the win last week will have given Lenny and his lads some heart, I'll go with a draw.

Gordano v Rock - probably both out of the title race but a win keeps them in the mix. Away win

Santos v Nailsea - dare I say Santos will be too strong for Nailsea?? Home win

Div 3

Carmel v Grace - away win

Hayhill v Hartcliffe - home win

Suburbs v Hillfields - home win

Enjoy !!

We didn't have a fixture scheduled when Ben first did the fixtures, which has turned out quite well as there's now a wedding at the Slip which rules out a few key players and Dan.
Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Div 1

Hillfields v Widcombe - as Eakes says, big game, and I agree with him that Hillfields' match fitness will see them sneak a narrow win.

Kensington v Pips - I think Pips will take this one, although Kensington do seem to have goals in them, so Pips frontline will need to be firing.

Woodies v TBC - hoping TBC can do us favour, but I think Woodies will be too strong, and will win by a goal or two.

Div 2

Pistols v Powerhouse - draw

Corinthians v Welton - Welton to continue their run of 1 win from the last 1 games.

Gordano v Rock - hmmm, draw.

Santos v Nailsea - Santos to take this one

Div 3

Carmel v Grace - away win

Hayhill v Hartcliffe - home win

Suburbs v Hillfields - home win

Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Just had a puzzling phone call from our groundsman saying that if the game was being played today the pitches would be too wet. Didn't think it had rained quite that much this week. Hoping for no more rain and a bit of sunlight to dry it out !!

Rainfall over last 24 hours has been baffling. Last night it's was just a bit damp in Redfield where we trained, yet a mate in work said they got a soaking in Speedwell less than 2 miles up the road.

Chucking it down in City Centre as I'm typing. Think BAWA is in the balance for Sat, shame because we've got a very strong squad!!

BAWA are usually strict but they haven't called off any games for us this season. Makes us hopeful for the Pistols V Powerhouse game, also at BAWA tomorrow.

I've heard from Adam at Christchurch that it's on at the moment and it all hangs on any overnight rain or the pitch freezing. It's just a friendly but last week was our first match in 5 weeks and that was GFA. We need some match practice!
