With 2 fairly dry days ahead of us and fairly mild ones at that, I think we should be confident of a full set of fixtures this weekend.
Div 1
Christchurch v SAS - Bit unfair to call this a mid table battle but it will be interesting to see how SAS goes over the next few months knowing that their title challenge is all but done. Could still have an impact at the top as on their day capable of beating anyone in this league. Away win.
Kensignton v Woodies - bit of an unknown for us having not played them in the league at all. Word is they are struggling for players slightly but a much improved performance versus TBC the other week suggests they are a tidy outfit. Gonna be a tough game for us.
Pip n Jay v Slip - game of the day in Div 1 no doubt. Pips have plenty of goals in them at the back and up top whereas Slip are the league misers so something has to give. A new found confidence and ability to win when not at their best now exists with Slip so hard not to back them. I will be hoping for a draw but think Slip will edge this, away win.
TBC v Hillfields - not quite the 6 pointer that we might have thought this would be a few weeks back as TBC have been playing well of late but a loss here for TBC brings them back closer to the dog fight at the bottom. Can't see that happening. Home win.
Div 2
Gordano v BUCU - Gordano slipped back from a promising early start and BUCU now flying. Away win.
Powerhouse v Pistols - relegation 6 pointer, home win.
Rock v Welton - home win, Paul Freeman to score and post the score shortly after he's home and had a brew.
Div 3
Carmel v Hartcliffe - wooden spoon battle of the south bristolians. Away win.
Suburbs v Hayhill - home win.
GFA Primary
Santos v Castle Green. Should be a good game, played 3rd time lucky. Santos to be too strong for CG with a home win.
Enjoy one and all !!

A bit harsh Simon with your prediction in our encounter with CG. I don't think Ian and his boys need any more motivation to try and put one over us on saturday! It's a Shame I'm not going to be there to join the fun as I would expect it to be a close game. Hopefully we put on a good display as it's the Evening Posts star Match.

Ahh... nothing like a football cliche to let you know Ian's posting . Also gutted to miss this one. Even though I can't play, Jonny asked me to stand on the touchlines for Santos and... er.... well, stand there. Probably have a fag. Anyway, obviously I've missed running the Santos show (not really) so a real shame I'll be up in Liverpool. Hoping to find out within the month when I might have a chance of actually playing football again. Starting to think I might have to do some actual ex****se whilst injured to stop me becoming horrible, fat and ugly. By which I mean to stop me becoming a centre-half. Anyone got any suggestions for activities that are easy on the knees but keep you fit? Just to say, swimming's out (most boring thing ever), gym's out (ditto, and expensive, and run the risk of being accosted by Dave McGrath trying to show me his 'guns'), cycling's also out until I can find a decent bike I'm willing to shell out for. Have considered darts and pool and will be researching these options further over the coming weeks.

How is my comment harsh? I have just commented that I think Santos will be too good for CG.

I predict that all of the matches will go ahead! Thank goodness. Div 1 Christchurch - SAS, a tough one to predict, depends on which CC team plays - score draw. Kensington - Woodlands, away win after a close encounter Pips - Counterslip, who knows, as Eako has mentioned the tightest defence and a free scoring side (conceding at both ends unfortunately). Thornbury Baps - Hillfields Baps - the battle of the Baps, home win. Div 2 Gordano Valley - BUCU, away win. Powerhouse - Bristol Pistols, score draw. Rock - Welton, home win. Div 3 Carmel - Hartcliffe Saints, high scoring draw Suburbs - Hayhill, home win. GFA Minor QF VCF Santos - Castle Green, away win AET. Enjoy one and all. http://pipnjayfc.ukffteams.co.uk/ Pip n jay GFA Minor cup winners 2010-11
