Well our day trip to Portsmouth was a real success, we played two teams and drew one and won one, we finished top of the league, however they conned us out of the trophy by saying we need to do a pen shootout to decide and we (shock horror) lost it in sudden death. Our Preseason program is now shaping up like this: 25th July - Hillfields sixes (two teams) 6th Aug - Sanctuary Friendly 8th Aug - Nailsea Tournament (defending Champs) 15th Aug - Battle of the Baptists 22nd/23rd Aug - National Tournament @ Frys 29th Aug - Slip in the grudge match cup prelim. (its a win win for us, we win we keep our record v slip, we lose we get to defend our shield) 6th Sept - KO season V Widcombe Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

Crofty, if we beat you in the prelim, we're gonna deliberately lose in the first round of the cup so that we can beat you again in the shield. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

The only problem with that, is perhaps being shield holders and beating you so many times I can't remember we are probably slight favorites in the prelim, however if you beat us and we face each other again in the shield, you will once again be self proclaimed favourites for the shield and then we all know then it will all backfire in style. Am looking forward to the game regardless really enjoyed last time around. Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

Clearly you are favourites until we can get our head-to-head record back to at least even. I think it's currently 3-0 to you? Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

SANCTUARY FRIENDLY TONIGHT IN SISTON SHOULD BE A GOOD WARM UP FOR THE SEASON. Also have Nailsea Tournament on Sat, Baptist Tournament following Sat and then National Tournament the weekend after, then we face Slip in cup prelim for which having purchased a new kit they are overwhelming* favourites. *(self proclaimed) Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

Beat a young and weakened Sanctuary 5-1 this evening on an extremely tight pitch, however we played some very good football at times so was very impressed with our efforts. This was Sanctuary's first footy of the season and they came flying out at us, however I thing having 3 weeks of action under our belts showed through and we were 3-0 up at half time, we conceded a sloppy goal early in the second hald however a flukey Joe Allen Cross Shot restored order and Nath added his second late on to cap and impressive win which should encourage both teams for the forth coming season.
