SAS 1-1 Hillfields

SAS goal from J Cawley (me!)

A game of very few chances and about as much quality. Hillfields battled really hard and I think SAS could certainly learn a thing or two from them in that respect.
I felt we deserved the win, but unless we create more chances we cant expect 3 points.
Really need to get our season back on track ASAP...

Wasn't there so can't really comment but...

'Slip 0-0 Widcombe

Disappointing. BSXI winning was better than pips winning though.
Congratulations to Woodies.

Disagree, bs xi are still the title favourites in my opinion. We beat Christchurch 2-0, goals from sarge (pen) and ieu. Tight game and chch had a good shout for a pen that I thought from the side was but sarge reckoned he got the ball. They also hit the bar. But I reckon we shaded it and probably were guilty of missing chances in the first half.

The Baps had a 3-0 walkover against Kensington this morning. Four Kensington players dropped out this morning apparently and they were left with 7 players. Very frustrating. However, we made the most of it and had a friendly of 11 v 10 with 3 of our players playing for Kensington.

I hope Neil can sort out the issues of availability at Kensington - very frustrating for him when players drop out at the last minute.

Gordano 1-2 Castle Green

Have to say I'm relieved to take the points, Gordano played very well and their front pair and midfield were impressive. A draw would have been a fair result but we nicked it with virtually the last kick.

7 missing this week and the strength of the squad was tested to the limit.

Goals from Nick Gilleece and Dan Powell

Full squad back next week. Bring on the big dust up with Counterslip!

SAS 1 v Hillfields 1 (Christy) think lads are mixed in result pleased to come back from 1-0 down but felt with a bit more positivity and a few breaks, they may have taken more.

Hillfields Res 3 v Racing Santos 0 (James Corfield, Ashley Gray, Skye Allen)

We had bare 11 for reserves and played two lads who've never played 90mins ever so really chuffed with result lads did well. good to see James getting back involved after injury.
Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

Santos won 10-1 away to Corinthians. Jack Williams got a hattrick and the rest were shared around. Good win.

BUCU 4 - 1 Rock

With one goal a piece at half time this game looked like it was going to be tight. Rock were defending well and hitting us on the break. The game opened up a bit in the second half and we started passing the ball a lot better and eventually converted some nice chances into goals. Goals from Jack Edmondson, Alex Wilkins x 2 and Will Rowe.

BSXI 3 - P&J 1

Really good competitive game today, a bit of a battle at times with both teams having, and squandering some good chances. We had a bit of a mixed squad today with various absences but played well as a team despite it. We snuck one in the 1st half and lead at half time, then conceded courtesy of a slightly controversial goal, where the referee refused to even talk to our linesman about his offside flag. It seemed to wake us up though and Bally snatched one before Darren scored with what can only be described as a diving (falling?) header to round it off.

On a personal note great to be back playing after a long term niggling injury !!!! Boo hoo!

a huge effort from the team today and have to admit that at 1-1 with Pat off with a lump on his head and Ticks deployed as a 50 yr old deep-lying striker that it would take a near miracle to avoid defeat, let alone snatch victory. Crdeit to Bally for a cool finish after he had missed an identical chance earlier and to Daz who stooped to conquer. Matt And Neil, who helped us out as the regulars dropped out like flies, were outstanding. Need to bottle that battling spirit.....

Corinthians 1 -10 VCF santos

Funny old game today, Corinthians started better and we scored against the run of play. It was 1-4 at half time despite being under good pressure from them for most of the half we were very clinical going forward. 2nd half Corintians didn't seem to have the same fight and we had it very comfortable for the remainder of the game. Very pleased considering we had 4 regulars away today and i'm very grateful to Jack J for going in goal, he might regret it as he did very well!

Welton Rangers FC 3-0 Powerhouse

Goals from C Maidment (2) and F Lines.

Good hard earnt victory, and we have become much harder to beat these past few games, only conceding 2 goals in 3 games.

Look forward to giving the holders and title favourites a run for their money next week.
