VCF Santos 4 - 0 Rock
After a shakey start we got the goal we needed to settle us down from a superb strike from Jack Jevon. Rock pressed us well in th opening quarter but after the goal we didn't look back. It was 2-0 at half time, Twanny had a great shout for a peno but the ref thought differently! It was comfortable second half and we should of scored more. However very happy to get the win and keep a clean sheet.

Powerhouse 0-8 Castle Green Today was just one of those days where everything clicked and the whole squad was on form, we played some excellent football and everything was going in including the odd shot or cross that would usually end up in the bushes! Great attitude and spirit shown by the Powerhouse lads who will certainly enjoy better days than today through the season, particularly with Martin making an astute new signing to beef up his back line, who be available from next week. Good luck for the rest of the season guys, I hope you do well. Goals from George Malyckyj x 2 and Dan Powell who bagged a double hat-trick (1 in each half), the first time this has ever been done at this club. I would like to think that wearing his gaffers shin pads had a hand in it, but somehow I know I'm clutching at straws! Green Army!"You don't stop playing football because you get old, you get old because you stop playing football"Mangotsfield and Castle Green URC

Good day at the office, full team fit despite still not having a goalkeeper.
Started off well and managed to score inside the first 5minutes and we went on from ther 3-0 half time
Second half was more of the same and we ended up winning 8-0 i think.
Nailsea 8 - 0 Bristol Pistols
Good performance all round

'Slip 0-0 Hillfields Wasn't there but according to someone who was, we had a goal ruled out for offside. Lino flagged after ball was in net and one of his players told him to put his flag up. Interesting. Congratulations to Woodies.

It was offside it was just he didn't flag with vigor that the slip lads thought it was on our call ball was in net after as we stopped running. However slip should of had a pen which ref didn't give not sure why, maybe makes up for dans soft win in the semi, with both teams weakened through absences the draw was the most likely out come as the game wore on and we just cancelled each other out good attitude from both teams though and nice for one of the Hillfields teams to be off the bottom. I am in Aand E after I clashed heads with dave miller am waiting to get my stitches sounds quite deep according to nurse and i am bored :-( Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

What goes around comes around thats all I am saying Woodies 3 SAS 1, much better from us today but we rode our luck a bit in the 2nd half where Ash made a couple of great saves and SAS's finishing wasn't that great. Up 3-1 at half time and I thought we were good for that lead and real backs to the wall in the 2nd half as we only had 1 sub and a few players who aren't fit to play 90 minutes really dug in. Goals for us from Andy B (pen), Matt Hyde and Ieuan.

General feeling there was the "goal" definitely wasn't offside (of course), and couldn't believe we didn't get a pen. Also that Crofty's injury helped Hillfields, as they looked better at the back when Joe moved back there. Hope your injury isn't too bad though Crofty. Apologies, our only sub had his 2 year old with him, so wasn't fair to ask him to run the line. We did have another player coming along who would have run the line, but he pulled out this morning through illness. Annoying, as if he'd pulled out yesterday, I had another player willing to interrupt a holiday at Centre Parcs if we really needed him, and could have got him along. Annoying, as if he'd pulled out yesterday, I had another player willing to interrupt a holiday at Centre Parcs if we really needed him, and could have got him along. I don't think it is an issue whether you could supply a lino or not as I totally understand that and the circumstances with your sub having his daughter so of course we were willing to help if we could, but a bit more respect to the fact we did help, would have been appriciated. If my team did the same the first thing I would say if our team was give lip to the lino would be to point out that he is there to help our team. Also as much as we want to be as fair as possible and have an even playing field with honest linos, that doest always happen, but bar the odd one I dont think it is because people are trying to cheat people out of a goal I think it is because they are inexperienced and lets face not many people really wanna do it. And it is a way over the top for any player to expect an opp lino to be professional in something they know little about I know people do cheat at times but for the majority of the time these guys are helping the game to actually function and a bit more respect to them would be nice, no one really wants to do it do they? And it was offside and you can take my word on that as I would have no problem admitting it wasn't. I was last man on our team and when the ball went to Adam he was a yard off at least and Uygar put the flag up as Adam ran through not after he scored so not sure why that was exageratted, it was a slightly late flag but that doesn't make it any more onside :-) Like I said there was a Pen that was defo in my eyes not given. Had 7 stitches and got a headache and Nath I have no doubt the team improved when I came off, but missed Joe Allen in the middle as well. BUCU 5 - 0 Welton Rangers
A fairly comfortable win for BUCU, although Welton deserve credit for the way they battled in the second half. A first half hattrick from Alex Wilkins plus a penalty from Jeremy Young saw BUCU go in 4 - 0 up at the half-way stage. The second half was a much closer contest and we rode our luck at times but eventually Will Williams got the 5th goal from a corner. A really good performance from the whole BUCU team, lots of goals and a clean sheet.... Can't ask for much more than that.

Can't disagree with that too much, though I think we can feel hard done by not to have got a goal or two, especially with our very good second half performance. Our organisation first half was abysmal and we did ourselves no favours at all with a few individual errors. Kudos to Nick Bailey who came on at half time and really shored up our midfield. BUCU played very well though. Thoroughly nice bunch of lads too. Only one complaint... BUCU had numbered shirts AND numbered shorts...but the numbers didn't match up. So when trying to organise marking it was very confusing and difficult to convey who was supposed to be marking who. Something to watch out for in the future!

Pip n Jay 7 Thornbury Baptist Church 3
The first half was men against boys (literally in some areas of the pitch) and we were battered 5-0 in the first half. Changes were made in the second half and we gave Pips a game. The match was obviously over at half time but I was incredibly pleased with my guys who never gave up and really did treat the second half as if it was 0-0. We got undone by two balls over the top in the second half and conceded the two goals but TBC goals from Tom Wintle (his first league goal) an own goal (I thought about claiming it but just can't!) and a stunning 30 yarder from Mark Beale.
Pips were quick and sharp (mainly in the first half) and took their goals well. The third goal (was it Ali?) was sublime - reminded of when I was at Wembley watching Gazza chip it over Hendry to score against Scotland in Euro 96! Enjoyed the second half.......hated the first half from the touchline.
