Presumably because the sending off was in his role as coach but the yellow card as a player. Thats given me food for thought though for this coming Saturday.....

It's a flaw in the law. If a substitute was sent off from the bench then he wouldn't be allowed on so it shouldn't be any different. Hessanthaler should be classed as a substitute. After this, I would expect a change in the law to occur, probably for next season.
