The draws for the 2nd rounds is on the GFA website, one very interesting game.

Hillfields Old Boys V Hillfields Baptist.

A Tough Draw for Joes boys, not the game we would have wanted. Never beat them before but we know how they play and I think the lads will have a good chance.
Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

In some Counties, though obviously not Glous, if a game is switched to the away Clubs ground because on the non availability of the home Clubs pitch, the nominated home club would still be responsible for the costs.

Home team always pays in Somerset even when they have to switch pitch. We went to Brislington as ours was unplayable last year and cost neigh on 200 smackers!
The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.

I agree with the suggestions from Ian and Dan. Naturally if a team thinks they may have advantage on their home pitch you would fork out the dosh to ensure you had a better chance of winning?? Of course in some teams cases the away pitch is sometimes better! I have to say the pitch at Almondsbury for the final last season wasn't as good as I remember when I played up there for Almonds 10 years ago. Plenty of sand and not enough grass.

Teams shouldn't be allowed to change just they can't afford it, every team should fund it's own seasonal existence (unless every single guy is unemployed) which would make it tricky to fund.

Yes, Nicholas Wanderers are Pips reward for conquering BSXI, don't know much about them but will strive to undertake a thorough dossier Jose Mourinho style over the coming weeks to pick out weaknesses etc.

Exciting times in the churches league with so many of the teams progressing through to the 2nd round of Primary, Minor and Intermediate GFA cups. Let's hope this continues all the way.
