In that vein, I thought I would share some of how God has been using our opening weeks in the league:
We have had some great conversations with some of our players (and random passing spectators in the park) who have been challenged by our desire to honour the Lord through our conduct on the pitch.

We had a prayer breakfast a week ago before our game against Powerhouse and 2 of our non-Christian players came along.

Yesterday one of our non-Christian players came to church for the first time in his life. He really enjoyed it, had lots of questions and has said he wants to come next week too.

Great to hear that. Can you - or anyone - explain the links at the bottom of your post? "Sexy lingerie sexy cosstume Lingerie"? If its a cottage industry or something like that then thats fine obviously, we all need to make a living. Particularly like the butterfly outfit if I'm being honest. Just seems, well, odd. If anyone could photoshop a piccie of Gaffer or Chappell into one of the ads and post it on here then I'll give 'em a fiver. Not a real one.

I'm assuming the whole thing is some sort of spam, given that his location is the USA apparently. I've got players willing to come from Weston to play, but that's pushing it a bit!

Still don't get it. Why would someone bother writing something like that on the board? It isn't provocative, it isn't drawing attention, its just odd. I think he's trying to mess with our heads. He's winning. They're all winning. And the little people they bring with them who crawl into cracks in the ceiling and watch us as we eat our suppers and drink our tea, just biding their time before they come and.....

Whoever this is they have cut and pasted the text from part of my post on October 11th last year! I certainly have nothing whatsoever to do with the lingerie!

I like the fact that a spammer has clearly taken the time and the effort to try and subtley blen i but not think that we would question his dubious sig links

Surely it's some sort of automated programme that has done it?

The most depressing thing about this, is it's generated more discussion than anything else on this board in the last few weeks. We need the new fixture list soon....

It is a little depressing, but I suppose that some sad people will always use the freedom of the internet to try and advertise dubious products. Sad, but there you go....
