Thought I'd kick this off to discuss how everyone's feeling, what everyone's thinking, and what everyone's saying.
I'm well glad the season is so officially close. Enjoyed the friendlies. Just loving it! Shame we've not had all the 1st teamers around yet though. Hopefully we'll be a force to be reckoned with when we're all available.

I think Saturday will see our strongest squad so far in pre-season, so it'll be interesting to see how we do against Welton, who put up a good fight v BSXI on Tuesday. I still think it's going to be another tight season at the bottom in Div 1, and we're one of about 5 sides who could potentially go down. Time will tell. I'm not looking forward to our first game of the season though. Might have to check if anyone else is unavailable, and possibly look for a rearrangement!!! Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Who's not available then? I know of Tim and Sincs... I'm enjoying playing again especially in my best position @@ Hope our collective attitude improves this season, don't want to slide down to another teams level. Congratulations to Woodies.

Lewis and me. Oh dear. The lady at Filwood said there's 4 churches league games there soon... might have been the 4th Sept? I guess with a 3rd division, not everyone can play at Frys.

I guess it will be. Eakes was after some extra pitches the other week. Clearly got so desperate he had to resort to Filwood. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

That is desperate. Although I don't thikn the pitches have been too bad so far (ignoring spending 5 minutes running around clearing off the litter and dirty underwear). But no doubt they'll be shod when the winter comes around.

Kirbs, it went back to the same player didn't it? Can't be offside from your own shot, and our keeper touching it has no relevance to offside. Schoolboy. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

We can only get 7 pitches at Frys for the first game (the 4th Sep) so I was trying to get 4 pitches for the other 4 games all at the same place. Many places were explored but only Filwood could accomodate. Given that 2 teams were due to be at home that day, it seemed a logical choice.

From what i remember it didn't go back to the same player. And Kirby is right regarding the offside. If he was in an offside position when his player shot, then it coming back off Nick to him made him active. 'Gaining an advantage from being in the position'. Schoolboy from you Nath. Congratulations to Woodies.

Seems Welton and Rock aren't even at Frys according to the fixtures! I'm pretty sure it was the same guy who went through, had a shot, Nick saved, he got it back and put it in? Didn't think any other CG player was around? And read what Kirby has written properly: "I'm pretty sure their striker was offside when it came off of Niche after his initial save."
