Apparently BSXI 3 Pip 'n Jay 1. The Baps still cling on to Division 1 status....for the moment.

Woodies 4 Santos 1, champions again !! Reasonably straight forward for us tonight with Santos missing 1 or 2 regulars. Golas from Mike S, Dave C, Andy B (pen) and Matt H. Played some great football in the last 2-3 games which is nice, roll on Saturday now for hopefully doing the double!

Great game - went 4 - 0 up then they got a pen in the second half. Guessed the right way, but pushed it into the roof of the net. Were really getting into games now. Shame its almost the end of the season! 'seeing within, changes ones outer vision'

Nice to win the title again. Santos had a few players back from our last game, but were missing a few as well so certainly didn't look full strength (though I'm not sure exactly what full strength is for them). We had the wind and slope advantage in the first half and made it count, going in at 3-0. There was a glimmer of hope for Santos in the second half with the conditions in their favour but an early goal from Matt H effectively sealed the tie and the title. Obviously, all our boys are thinking about now is whether TNS can recover from his bruised leg. We're rooting for you fella .

I wasnt there but im really pleased for the boys...another well deserved title for si and the lads....always a pleasure to be involved with a team who have a great desire to win and also for the game to be played in the right way.

Congratulations Woodies. Full Time is now updated to reflect your unbeatable lead.
Question is can you now do the league and cup double - something which hasn't been done in quite a while. Perhaps Simon B or Ian C can let us know how often its happened...just to put the pressure on before Saturday.

Well done Woodies, a deserved championship. I think BSXI, SAS and Santos early on all showed glimpses of championship form during the season, but none of them were able to sustain it over an entire season as Woodies have, with possibly the defeat to Christchurch the only really bad result they've had all season. The double is in the bag for them now. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Congratulations Woodies, shame you beat us to get the title though. The shouts of "There's only one Simon Eakins" from the showers conjured up images of you all covering him in shower gel and rubbing him clean, nice!
Funny old game, we had team legends Moody and Big John promoted from the Racing squad to help us out and they performed admirably. Sadly TNS was on form and any chance of a fightback second half (with the wind and slope in our favour) was snuffled out by an outstanding save from a Sparky header and a nice early goal from Woodies. We've had a shocking end to the season and hopefully we can finish on a high at the weekend (although I think we're probably underdogs on recent form).
Roll on next season.

Probably the highlight of the game was when Santos added another player to their backline in the form of a drunk/wasted bloke who started to walk very slowly across the pitch when the game was in progress. The ref duly called a halt to proceedings and we had a couple of minutes just to watch him shuffle along. We did think for a brief moment that the Gaffer had put McGrath up front. Actually, its a shame that Gaffer wasn't playing up front for us at the time - he'd have looked like a greyhound in comparison!

This is the only mention of a possible injury from the Santos game (see Eakes post in Sir Chirpsalot thread). Not sure if Davo is being serious though. Surely Woodies won't be missing TNS???? Although it would even things up after we played both league games without a proper keeper. Already thinking a 10 for Solomon score is in order if that's the case.
