Please please please stop what you are doing and pray. There is a patient at work who is going for surgery this morning and the outlook is very grim. Please pray that the odds will be defied and God will pull him through. Thanks. Top of the league

Please pray Nath gets over the bug he's got in time for Saturday as it's his first game all month.
Please also pray for healing for one of my sister-in-laws neighbours whose husband has been induced into a coma after an ear infection reached his brain. They have a baby, so is a difficult time for them.

Nath's better now. Also, the neighbour with the brain infection who went into a coma is now in recovery back at home. The doctors said he'd be in hospital 6 months at least and had a high chance of permanent brain damage. Apart from some hallucinations from the drugs he's on, he's now ok! One more prayer request I've just seen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/new...ld-middle-east-11724378

This one is probably applicable most most of our churches, but with the upcoming Christmas-related services, our church often gets loads more people coming. Please can we all pray that the non-christians who come will get the message of the gospel, which will lead to them being saved!?
Also, I heard some famous artist on the radio yesterday (not sure who it was - tuned in half way through), saying that they don't go for the religious stuff at Christmas because it's not what it's about, saying that Christmas is about presents and having a good time. Famous people are often role models that people follow. This bloke's views aren't of a role model we want people to follow, so can we also pray that people don't miss the real reason behind Christmas, and that public denouncements of Jesus' birth have no bad consequences of listeners agreeing with them.

Appreciate if your thoughts and prayers could be with Mark Stillman and his family his Dad passed away yesterday afternoon. Some of you may know Mark he has played the odd game for Welton, but generally takes photos and helps run our line. The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.

Very sad news to end the year on, Welton Rangers Chairman, former treasurer Pete James sadly passed away Friday morning losing his battle with cancer some will know Pete when running welton when they were called Welton Wednesday going back a bit, he was also involved helping out Vic Trykush with the church link when vic set up the team as Welstock in 2004 Pete would always watch welton home and away when he could and had a lot of time for the team and would always make myself, Andy always welcome round his home and I along with andy and the rest of the team are deeply sad on hearing this news, it comes as a surprise to me as myself and Andy got to see him before xmas and he seemed so upbeat after his chemotherapy. That was the sort of person Pete was always positive, upbeat, I am finding this really difficult to post on here as i really dont know what to say and i appreciate some people wont see this till we go back to normal working week, but i know his wife jackie and family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for Pete and his family Lenny Job completed Division 3 BCFA Champions

Really sad to hear the news about Pete, unfortunately I didn't know he was ill. I can remember back in my Counterslip days when Pete was still pulling his boots on and I have enjoyed many conversations and matches with him ever since. I recall the last time I saw Pete was on the touchline during Castle Green's shield semi at Welton last season and as always it was great to catch up with him. I'll always have fond memories of Pete as a proper gentleman who's heart was always in the right place when it game to Bristol Churches League football and how a club should be run. He always gave me time of day for a good chat, whether it was at a match or on the phone in preparation for a game on the weekend coming and he always seemed as keen to hear what was going on with my own club as he was to talk about Welton. A wonderful and humble man who I respected and I am saddened to hear of his passing My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, the Church and of course all the lads at Welton Ian (Lenny, if you need to talk, ring me any time) Green Army!"You don't stop playing football because you get old, you get old because you stop playing football"Mangotsfield and Castle Green URC
