So, I am now the official (girl) manager of the Hartcliffe Saints! I am slightly ignorant and do need your help as it is completely new to me! I am more passionate about keeping the team together than the game itself (but I am sure that will come in time!)
I am looking for some teams to play friendlies against the boys over the next few months. They are relatively new, we are looking to join the churches league next season but until then they will be training hard! They are aged 17-20 and are used to playing adults so far.

If you know of any team who would be willing to play them then please text me on 07817594779 or email me! (Feel free to give me any advice too!)

My first bit of advice would probably be to post this in the main football section, and not in the Counterslip sub-forum, as a lot of people probably won't read it as it contains a large amount of rubbish.

Ben/Si, are you able to move threads?

Welcome to the league Zoe! Hope you and your team enjoy everything about it, even including Eakes' mind games (manager of Woodies). Where is your home ground going to be, if you've got one yet? I've no idea what info you have already (obviously some as you're this forum), but there's some stuff you might find useful:

League stats, fixtures n stuff: http://full-time.thefa.com/gen/Index.do?league=5317865

'Webteams', if you fancied (or getting the guys in your team) doing a website. Here's our site: http://www.webteams.co.uk/Home.aspx?team=counterslip

BCFA website: http://www.bristolchurchesfa.co.uk/

It's always difficult getting friendlies in the 2nd half of the season, because most teams have a lot of games rained/snowed/frozen off, so they end up struggling to fit the league and cup fixtures in. I'm sure someone at some point will play you, even if it's when the season's over or a team's not playing as their opposition is in a cup match or something. Hope you get one.

As previously discussed, Welton Rangers will be up for a friendly. We can provide the pitch etc.

I think i mentioned the 20th February too you?

We are also available on the 27th March and 3rd April, and fingers crossed if we can re-arrange the Carmel game for this Saturday we will have the 13th March free as well.

Would also be keen for a pre-season friendly in August.

Thanks

The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.

If you're looking to join the league, you will need to find a full size grass pitch as your home pitch (not sure if you were intending to use that as your home pitch if you join us from what you've written above).

And it must have changing, toilet and shower facilities.
