Well, with no rain in sight, surely its going to be a full fixture list this weekend.

Div 1

Nailsea v Hillfields - not sure if this game is happening as it may be that Hillfields are playing their cup game but if not then this is a massive 6 point game. After Nailsea disappointingly gave 3 points away last week when it would have been rained off they will be keen to get away from the drop zone. Big game, Nailsea to just edge it.

Santos v BS XI - only one winner here, away win.

Widcombe v SAS - away win for me, SAS continue to look like getting that 3rd spot.

Div 2

Kensignton V TBC - game of the day in Div 2 and Chris' lads will be looking to get back to the consistency they had earlier in the season and go a long way to securing an immediate return to the big league if they beat kensington. I'm going for a draw though to give Castle Green a sniff still at promotion.

Rock v Suburbs - just realised that Rock have only played 6 league games, what on earth??? Away win here.

Widcombe C v BUCU - soap dodgers climb up the table continues, away win.

Shield

Pistols v Slip - away win and Slip's elusive attempts for silverware get a little closer.

Welton v Castle Green - game of the day in the cups and a tough game for Ian's lads with their 6am start to get to Radstock. I'm going for an away win, after extra time.

GFA Cup

Pip n Jay v Woodies - at the 3rd time of asking we should get to play the Pips. This is now the EP's Star Match. Some of the Pips lads are doing a sleep out on the Friday night to raise money for charity so some of them might be feeling the tiredness but I am sure that Ken only needs 30 mins of sleep a night to run temas ragged !!

Enjoy one and all.

Division 3 is hotting up nicely, a few tough matches to predict but here goes:

Gordano-v-Hayhill going for a home win as Gordano continue to lead the way.
Hartcliffe-v-Grace Church can only see a Hartcliffe win as Grace continue to struggle
Powerhouse-v-Oasis Cairns Oasis have now won 2 games on the bounce so we are playing a team in form. A repeat of the last game I think, 2-1 to powerhouse .

Agree with Eakes' predictions. The Woodies v Pips game will be a good one... very hard to predict that, although Eakes may struggle with the big Pips striker towering above him. Woodies' attack should have some decent breaks through the Pips back line though.

Gotta say, despite no rain, the forecast of sub-zero temperatures on Friday night going into Saturday morning is concerning.

The big towering striker that our defence was too afraid to tackle?

The only concern you have kirby is if it's gonna be too cold for your poor little hands. But I have your gloves, muhahahaha muhahahaha
Congratulations to Woodies.

I doubt the "big towering striker" will be playing if Ken Oni is fit, which is likely. But that will just give Eakes a problem of an entirely different nature....

As for predictions.......

Div 1
Nailsea v Hillfields - very torn on this one. I have a feeling Hillfields might nick it for some reason, but I'm gonna say draw.

Santos v BS XI - has to be an away win.

Widcombe v SAS - SAS look like they're back in business, but Widcombe had a good result last week. Gonna go for SAS though.

Div 2
Kensignton V TBC - very big game. Gonna back Kensington to win, which should please church_league_neutral. Wink

Rock v Suburbs - away win (sorry Lumps).

Widcombe C v BUCU - away win.

Shield
Pistols v Slip - last week's postponement has actually worked out quite well for us. I'll be disappointed if we can't beat Pistols with the squad we have tomorrow, but you never know what will happen in a one-off game like this.

Welton v Castle Green - game above is QF, this is the SF, and I'm backing CG to avenge the recent league defeat, with not a single expletive to be heard from either side.

GFA Cup
Pip n Jay v Woodies - tough one to call. PnJ on their day can give anyone a game. Woodies have a good record against them though in recent seasons, and I think their firepower will be enough to take them to a second consecutive final.
Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Kirbs, don't think there's anything to worry about. It's only just going to dip below freezing for a couple of hours or so overnight. Won't be enough to freeze the pitch, and any light frost will have thawed by the time we come to kick off. It's pretty much the same as it's been the last couple of nights, and there hasn't been a frost then.
