hi guys

messaging from soul survivor where i met tns by the way.

Myself and joe are here with 2 of the footy team, one james who as u know became a christian in the last year through the footy team and a new lad ash who became a christian on the opening night, iam really chuffed with what god is doing amonst us this week and really encouraged for the season spiritually.

As managers be encouraged we are in this league to see Jesus change lives and he can do awesome stuff for ur teams this season.

I pray u have a good season in honours but more importantly in seeing Jesus impact on ur teams.

So moving on from august and the great news about Ash, I have just completed the most epic weekend.

Drove to manchester to see a Christian band LZ7 took Ash and James from footy team plus another player James and his friend Megan, really opened their eyes (please pray for them)

Got home at 1am - up to Play Santos

Beat Santos - just about

Straight after left with James Ash and Marcus and Alex from the footy team to go to London to Soul Survivor meeting, (it was Ash B day too) God really has done something amazing in Marcus and Alex's hearts they are really seeking God now and know there is a real choice to make, really amazing as after the Santos game, Marcus said to James he didn't know about coming cos he didn't beleive in God, I personally saw a transformation before my eyes as God worked on his heart.

Alex Marcus Megan and James have all heard the message of Jesus and they all know they gotta choice, they aren't quite there but the battle is going on, please pray for them all if you can I am hoping to meet them all sometime this week to talk further - that is 3 players from the footy team seeking.

Also please pray for another player Damiene, he was in the Army and has seen all sorts of tragic stuff in the Gulf and afghanistan, please pray for him as it had really shook his faith and belief in a God but he is still really searching and has a lot of questions, please pray we can answer him and that is faith will be restored.

Also Tom our Keeper is really searching (which is amazing in itself) but he is really taken with the whole 2012 end of the world stuff again please pray for him - If you could do that, that would be great as if God brings them into his Kingdom that will be my whole defence saved BigGrin

Some great stuff happening but really need to keep these guys in pray. Thanks ThumpUp

So then what could possibly be the best way to start off a Monday morning. Well I run a prayer breakfast on a monday morning and afterwards I had a chat to two of our lads from the football team who amazingly prayed to become Christians Dancing God really is amazing and the whole point of the league is to see this happen and I have now had the privilege of seeing it happen 4 times in the last 18 months or so through our team.

As much as we all try for it not to happen, come Saturday football does often get in the way of everything, we have tried our best to honour God in everything we do on the pitch and off of it we are not afraid to let them know about Jesus either straight up or by inviting them to stuff. Be encouraged coz if u keep Jesus at the centre of your team and its vision (and yes that is before winning), I gurantee you will see him move through your lads.

despite viscious rumours from the woodies camp that they became Christians at The Mix, this is noit true and therefore does not make them eleigable to play for Woodlands Si. Wink

The lads names are Alex Wignall and Aaron Lovell BigGrin

On top of this we are now getting over 20 lads coming to our thursday training sessions so we are very serious about entering a second team next season, BCFA and finances permitting.

Rich, this is brilliant news, loved hearing about this yesterday. But you need to read the small print at The Mix. I think you'll find that they are technically my players. I wil loan them out to you for this season along with Joe (who has now stepped inside Woodies on numerous occasions) and see how we go from there Wink.

But seriously, great news, exactly what this league is all about. Keep up the good work !!
