Farce again!!! I can't belive they gave the award to a bloke who sits on some fast horses as they jump over a few hedges!!! Worse tah the decision to award it to HRH Sir Ryan Giggs of Wales last year. England Twenty20 were robbed too.

Not worse than last year Ben, at least McCoy actually won something big in his sport whereas Giggs' was for lifetime achievement. Not surprised that Europe won the team award, completely forgot about them when making my predictions. Congratulations to Woodies.

Not a good couple of years for SPOTY IMO. Didn't watch it due to carol services so have it recorded, but may not bother to watch that. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

So many reasons why AP McCoy Should not have won: Horse racing is not a sport it is a business It exists solely for the purpose of gambling He is only champion at a national level It is basically recognition of 15 years success. The award it supposed to recognise the given year. He is not even British. He has ridden 14 horses to their deaths (so what if he has ridden 3000 in total). He has no personality. The horse he rode did most of the work. He always gets the best horses to ride (albeit he had to earn that right). You were able to bet on the winner so is it any surprise that the jockey won! I could go on....

'The British (also known as Britons, informally Brits, or archaically Britishers) are citizens of the United Kingdom, of the Isle of Man, one of the Channel Islands, or of one of the British overseas territories, and their descendants.' 'The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy and unitary state. It is a country consisting of four countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.' Ben, I'm very patriotic and like to be called English, but he's British, as his passport says. Congratulations to Woodies.

The Northern Irish have the choice of competing for either Ireland or GB & NI at the Olympics, that makes them only half British in my opinion then. It was one of the weakest reasons I stated anyway. Giving SPOTY to McCoy is still the biggest joke in the history of the award anyway.
