BSX1 5 Hambrook 3
A typically open pre-season affair fought out on a bobbly pitch. Both teams showed flashes of cohesion with ourselves being a little more clinical in front of goal.
Ashton finished well for a goal on his debut and new boy Phil Adam from Derby hit a brace to cap an impressive display.
Overall plenty of positives and some room for improvement.

Did you play up at Little Stoke Jim? We have been training there the last 3 weeks or so (off the main pitches) and noticed on Monday how bare the 2 near pitches were, have they been used during the summer or something? So new boy Phil Adam, another striker? You must have more strikers than us now !!

We played at Patchway Eako. You can never have too many strikers, you of all people should know that. How is your new German international settling in? "Ashton will never get in your boat Kirbs. He’s too much of a chirpser." Nathan Redshaw, 16/07/2009.

i believe little stoke is used in the summer for australian rules football!
New Boy Phil is in fact a midfielder with an eye for goal.
Just praying for more rain to soften up these pitches....
