So the nations hopes now turn to Andy Murray....Cue a complete loss of form and more disappointment.

Crikey, he's looking so good so far. Only man not to have dropped a set. It's gonna end in tears next match isn't it? Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

So, into the semis at Wimbledon. The men's semis feature players curently ranked 1, 3, 4 and 13 in the world. The women's semis feature players ranked 1, 21, 62 and 82. I guess that means there's a lot more depth to women's tennis at the moment. But for a shock quarter-final result, the men's would have featured the top 4 in the world. I'm gonna predict a Rafa-Berdych final, and a Serena-Zvonereva final. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

I'm gonna predict a Rafa-Berdych final, and a Serena-Zvonereva final. Except that both Rafa and Federer were taken to 5 sets by players ranked far below them in the ranking early in the tornament, and would have gone out had it been best of 3 sets like the womens game.

Nath, please edit your signature before I punch you. I am unsure about his signature, is it: a now pointless call for the sacking of the already departed Rafa Benitez? or a call of support for Andy Murray ahead of his semi final against Rafa Nadal tomorrow? P.S we should be the ones punching you after your very costly errors recently

I certainly don't think Nadal is boring, but I do want Murray to win today. Nice argument Ben, but they still won. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Buzzin to Nadal last night, he is such an awesome athlete. "Ashton will never get in your boat Kirbs. He’s too much of a chirpser." Nathan Redshaw, 16/07/2009.

Pretty incredible guy. Clearly world number 1, and if he can stay relatively injury free, I'm starting to think he might actually eclipse Federer's slam record, which I thought would take years to be beaten. Ben, I agree about Murray. His defeat to Federer in the Aussie Open seems to have affected him a lot. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Yeah Nadal will comfortably pass Fed. As Rafa had never won the US open before and Fed had been to the last 7 finals, why was Rafa seeded 1? Top of the league

Dan, Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam in which past performance at the tournament is taken into account when seedings are done. It's supposedly because it's such a different surface from the other slams, although these days, I don't think it's that much faster than the US and Aussie Open surfaces. In all the other slams, they go by world rankings at the point the draw is done. Don't think it's a given that Rafa will overtake Federer. He's 7 behind at the moment, but I still think Fed has it in him to win another one or two, so Nadal could easily end up needing to win another 9 or 10 to overtake Roger. Federer also has an incredible record of not missing Grand Slams, whereas Rafa doesn't, so while Rafa could easily have another 24+ slams that he could play, chances are he won't be fit for all of them given his past record. He's more likely to miss them through injury as he gets older, and I also think his game is more reliant on his physical prowess than Federer's, which again will fade as he gets on a bit. Time will tell though. Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....
