I'd agree with your summary Ben. Thought the young girl would probably make the top 3 ahead of Christopher Stone, but happy to see him go through. Had to laugh a bit about the guy from Peridot saying they didn't like being compared to Diversity, and that they've said from the start that they're unique. How are you unique exactly? You're both street dance groups, so of course you're going to be compared to them, and unfortunately, you're not as good as them or Flawless.
Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

There is a ridiculous number of dancers tonight. It could get rather boring!

Janey Cutler Singer
Tyler Patterson Street Dancer
Twist and Pulse Dancers
Ice Dance Troupe
Emile Harris Singer
Mark James Drag Act
Shaolin Martial Arts Troupe
The Fusion Dance Troupe

Seriously? Another one? What are they playing at putting all these rubbish acts through?

From your list, the Shaolin thing looked quite good in the audition. Can't remember who all the others are. Were Twist and Pulse those two lads who were dressed in red and blue?

Yes.

Mark James was okayish. He sang 'save your love' one side of his outfit was male, the other was female. He sang the song in both a male and female voice. I thought it was quite amusing. Not particularly talented though.

Good grief. I thought that was rubbish. So obvious what he was going to do once he unveiled his look.

Not looking forward to tonight's show really. Just as well I'll probably be busy finalising things for our house move. Smile

He was pretty rubbish but he was mildy amusing with it unlike Maxxie and the Grimmer bloke.

Some comments on tonights heat:

Taboo - Little bit chaotic with far too much going on. Although they were one of the better performers of the night. There are much better dance acts around though. 6/10

Neil Fullard - Pretty good vocal performance although he didn't wow me. Still one of my favourites from the heat. - 7/10

Ruby Girls - I get the feeling that the only reason this lot got put through was because Simon and Piers wanted something to perve at. Certainly not good enough for a final place. 5/10

Connected - Big disappointment for me. They sounded off key and picked a rather boring song. 5/10

Kev Orkian - Not as bad as the judges made out. Decent enough performance but had he been in a stronger heat I may have been more critical 6/10

Michael Fayombo Jnr & Snr I hadn't seen them before and thought they were pretty good however nowhere neer as good as Signature. - 7/10

Tina & Chandi I can't stand dog acts and really found this boring. 4/10

Maxxie Oliver I thought they usually left the best till last, but this guy is trully dreadful. You can be off key and funny. But this guy was just painful to watch. -3/10

Overall a very poor heat. Not one of the acts would have gotten into my top 5 last night.

I would have put through Taboo and Neil.
Congratulations to Woodies.

A vastly superior semi tonight.

Starburst - Good performance that would have stood out more if it wasn't for the strength of the opposition. - 7/10
Chloe H - Another strong confident performance. Great voice for someone so young - 8/10
Philip Grimmer - Cringeworthy, belonged in last nights heat. Was mildly amusing in parts. - 3/10
Paul Burling - Fantastic performance and in with a shout of a high finish in the final. - 9/10
The Arrangement - Not the most talented performance but very entertaining. 7/10
Jimmy Forde - This guy has several screws loose, I really don't get this act. 4/10
Chris Stone - Excellent again and has grown in confidence. Not a likely winner though. 9/10
Peridot - One of the best dance acts who would have strolled into the final in most other heats. 8/10

Paul Burling was very good, but is he going to continue with Harry Hill all the time? Might get a bit boring.

And I would have put Peridot through. Not as good as Diversity and I do think they are different, but I thought the judges were harsh and they were fantastic.
Congratulations to Woodies.

I had to walk out of the room during Emile's song. It was just too painful to watch him. Really bad!!!

Which one is Emile? Can't watch tonight's semi until tomorrow, but I hope Twist and Pulse get through.

He is about 18 and sang his own song, he used a guitar in the auditions.

Thought Fusion were the best tonight although it was a rather poor heat.

Oh I remember, wasn't impressed with him at all in the audition.

I find those two really irritating. They really need a group like Fusion in the final. Now they have two similar acts in Tobias & T&P.
I thought The Fusion were the best last night, although it was the 2nd worst heat so far.

Another example of hype and a sob sob story getting an act through tonight. I really haven't warmed to the drummer boy but knew he'd go through because all the judges sang his praises. How does drumming work on it's own? Because I certainly think it doesn't.
Plenty more worthy acts tonight even though it was a slightly below par heat. I won't begrudge Liam McNally his place in the final but Pole dancer lady was excellent as were A3 and myztical.
Spellbound or Paul Burling will be the only worthy winners tomorrow.

I'll be disappointed if Paul Burling wins. Spellbound, Twist ad Pulse or Tobias for me.
Congratulations to Woodies.

Why exactly? It will make a change from stupid street dance acts....Yawn. It is supposed to be a variety show. But we are getting singing and dance overload.
