Dave, thats a polite way of referring to some of the angles I created when playing in goal. Was a good game, plenty of attacking football and some dodgy defending at times by both teams. Widcombe went 1-0 up through Keith returning from injury. We then equalised with a goal from Smithy after great work by Si Rotheram on the right. Then went 2-1 up through Si himself before Widcombe got another one after a good break. We then scored just before half time through Thommo to make it 3-2 at half time. Second half was fairly even with both sides creating chances and with our makeshift front two causing problems we should have scored again. But Widcombe scored a deserved equaliser after good work by CBT down the left for a Keith header at the back post having lost his marker. Chances fell to both teams before the end but neither team could score again and an entertaining game finished that definitely had an end of season feel to it. Not bad given that we have 5 strikers missing and our keeper. Last game versus BS XI tomorrow will be a bit of fun.
