BS4 5-3 BUCU

Relieved to be safe tonight after an incredible game against BUCU. BS4 were 2-0 up at half time with goals from George Malyckyj and Brendan Bassett. In the second half, we went 5-0 up with an o.g. after the BUCU keeper punched the ball into his own net from a corner and then further goals from Mike Alvis and Dan Powell.

Game over? No chance...then the fun started!

BUCU threw bodies and long balls forward, playing 4 or 5 up front. The only thing missing was the air raid sirens as the the ball came down with volcanic dust on it. All of a sudden it was 5-3 and my lads were battling to keep them out.

Relief to hear the final whistle? Too right!!

Commiserations to BUCU on their relegation. Their run in was a tall order and at 5-0 many teams would have caved. Nothing but admiration for their battling spirit tonight and we wish them well.

BS4 FC over and out on a high though and a big thanks to Totterdown Baptist Church for their support over the last 3 years. The Gaffer.

Well done Ian! Sounds like a bit of a thriller!

At the other end of the high scoring game scale tonight -

Pistols 0 - 1 Racing Santos

A fairly high tempo game, on a hard 'bouncy' surface that shifted in its balance of power a few times, but I feel it would be fair to say Racing shaded it a bit!

A goal from a corner late on made for a close finish, but a great performance from Moods jnr in goal got him and us our 2nd clean sheet of the season!

Only now do we rue the two losses over Easter that could possibly have put us in 2nd!! Crazy! Boo hoo!

Congratulations to BS4 on their escape and commiserations to BUCU. Relegation is awful, I hope I don't have first hand experience of it on Saturday!

Congrats Ian. Nice write up, particularly the volcanic ash bit. Sounds similar to some shots of Springs. BigGrin

woooooooo. End of an era.

Good bye BS4 hello Castle Green AFC.

Good game for us last night, We do like conceding late goals and many of them. Last 4 games we conceded 3,4,3,3. i think.

Gordano 0-3 Suburbs

It was good to end the season with a win and secure 3rd place. Dan H, Steve T and Mitch H with the goals.
