BUCU 0 v Hillfields 6 (James Corfield scored 4)

Kensington 1 v Nailsea 3 - Kensington 1-0 up at half time through pen, think win sees Nailsea up now.

Good result on a bobbly pitch. Welton just deserving the win. A much improved Gordano side from the start of the season.

WE ARE GOING UP!

Woodies 2 - 0 Henbury

A tight first half gave way to a second half that Woodies dominated. Great goals from Mike and Andy sealed it. All the lads gutted as we've now got yet another game to play!

Big congrats to Welton on their promotion today, well done lads, much deserved.

Great win for us today, we were a bit troubled by their long ball (wind assisted) in the first half and they were unlucky not to score although we had a couple of great chances. 2nd half we totally dominated and should have ben 3 or 4-0 up but couldn't find the killer goal once Mike headed in on about 55 mins. Great team effort today, effort and attitude across the pitch was first class all the way through. Can put the cups aside for a few weeks and get some league games under our belt.

The final versus St George Rangers is on Tuesday 30th March. Thanks for the support from Ralph and Ticks on the sideline today.

Rock 2 - 2 BS4

Good and lively game which we led twice through goals from Freeman/Roswell (still arguing that one i think) and Birtles with a strike from an impossible angle (straight from a corner!), dissapointed not to win as the extra cushion at the bottom would have been nice!

There was a lengthy delay in the game due to an injury to a BS4 player, we all hope he is ok and the injury isn't as serious as it looked. Ian - maybe you could let SPrayer or myself now how he is doing?

Credit to BS4 who kept battling after the injury and i think a draw was a fair result!

Rock 2-2 BS4

Tough morning at Badminton a good 2-2 battle with Rock, soured by Luke Gibbons being in hospital tonight with a broken knee cap. Somehow, today football really doesn't matter.

Rock got off the mark after a Paul Freeman free kick took a wicked deflection off of the BS4 wall completely wrong footing our keeper. BS4 struck back when Mike Connor slotted home from a cross into the Rock penalty area. Then only minutes later John Birtles put Rock back in the lead direct from a corner (it didn't come off of my head, honest!)

HT Rock 2-1 BS4

In the second half, we started brightly, then 10 minutes in, Luke Gibbons collided accidently with a Rock defender, clashing knees. The game was held up for a considerable time waiting for the ambulance and with Luke in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Eventually the game restarted, but somehow it wasn't the same any longer. George Malyckyj however got himself into a great position in the Rock penalty area and slammed home his first (and hopefully the first of many) goal for the club.

2-2 it finished

I have literally just got home having gone straight to Frenchay A&E from the game. Luke is not doing well. His right knee cap is broken, possibly in 2 or 3 places (x-rays were not pleasant to see) and just before I left, Luke had been heavily dosed up on pain killers plus he had just been put in plaster from the top of his leg to his toes. He will be staying in tonight and they intend to operate tomorrow. His recovery could be a long one and with his job being a football coach, this will make life tricky in the coming months.

If you could keep Luke in your thoughts and prayer, I'm sure he will appreciate it.

Christchurch 1 - 2 Thornbury Baptists,

Sadly an important victory overshadowed (for myself at least) by events occurring off the pitch, but a huge victory for us all the same.

Wow, what a morning of high drama!

Congrats to Welton on promotion. I still have great memories of Welton in the past and that Ian bloke who scored for fun when you were in the top flight and who won the Golden Boot a couple of times. Are the good times back?

Congrats to Woodies; an excellent achievement and it does the BCFA loads of good getting to GFA Cup finals. I saw some of the game and it seemed a tight encounter so well done Si and the guys.

And congrats to TBCFC on edging out Christchurch in a close encounter. CC went in at half time deservedly in the lead, but we spent most of the second half in their half and a goal from a free kick by Joe Maiden and an own goal from another great ball in by Joe helped us take all 3 points. What Dan quoted is referring to is that a thief pretended to be a member of our squad, encouraged the Caretaker at BAWA to unlock our changing rooms and promptly took cash, phones, an ipod and keys which led to him nicking a car. The good news is the car has been recovered as well as the phones. What a morning!

Just wanting to add to the congratulations messages for Welton - from all at Santos - Well done!

And Woodies - good job guys - now go and get one step further than we did last year ThumpUp (it might take a bit of focus off the title race...you never know Wink )

And to let Luke know we'll be praying for a speedy recovery for him.

Hope he recovers, such a nasty injury to have. Get well soon.

Really enjoyed todays game. Nice and tough in the first half, total domination second half for us. First final under lights for Woodies, it could be a great season. Team spirit is so good at the moment, reminds me of the Thornbury team of 2004/05.

Yep. SAS 3 v 3 Pip n Jay

SAS goals from Paul Mitchell on his debut, James Cawley and Jack Brady. A little disappointed to throw away a 3 goal lead but rumour has it we were on the back foot for the last 30 mins.

I really struggled for a team this week for the first time this season, so I'm really pleased with a draw and I would've taken that before.

Two good performances from debutants (one being our keeper) are two real positives.
