We have our reasons but here is really not the place to discuss it. It's unfortunate that we're not continuing but given the situation, it's the right decision. Top of the league

It's not the right decision and it makes us look like a joke and doesn't do much for the league. I can't see the point in entering this cup again as too many people find excuses not to play in it. Would we have still pulled out had we won against Filton?

I can see it from both points of view but Fordy is right, I don't know why players are not available a few hours later on a Saturday (Birtle excluded). Reaching a GFA cup final would be a great experience, it's a big shame. Hey sucker, I pity the fool who thinks he's going to beat me at Fantasy Cricket! Don't go home cryin' to your Momma when I do, you fool!!

As a church team we probably have done the right thing. I think it was just bad luck that we had so many people unavailable that wknd. No point getting in an arguement between ourselves because of it. It's one less distraction in our quest for the BCFA Cup and a relegation dogfight. "Ashton will never get in your boat Kirbs. I would completely understand if we said that as a church team we would never do certain things that other teams may do, and played by a certain set of rules. What i don't understand is why we would willingly do something and then penalise ourselves for it later, and also why we didn't withdraw from the cup last year.
Anyway as stated this isn't the place to discuss it.

Im disappointed...i thought we took a vote before the Santos game if we wanted to carry on with the GFA...the concensus was that the majority (Vast majority) wanted to play in the 2nd round. :livid: www.webteams.co.uk/counterslip...our biggest fear is not that we are inadequate, our biggest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
