And while he continues to put in lines like this I'll continue to pay his wages.....

Chris has put that Pip n Jay beat Widcombe after extra time and I'm sure thats what I read on here but Full Time has Widcombe as the winner. Presume FT is correct??

F-T is correct. I think Spits got his info from this message board over the weekend. This was then supplemented by someone putting a Pips win in F-T but I've been "reliably" informed by a very trustworthy source that WW did win the game...and Chris Day confirmed it as well.Wink

Yeah I thought that and was gonna correct Ben but checked a txt from Arnaud at Pips and it does say Widcombe won.

I'm looking forward to an EP report where my age isn't alluded to in any way. I'm starting to think that this will only happen if I fail to score in a game this season and, lets be honest, its hard to see that happening.

Alternative is to send a strongly worded letter to the Editor complaining about the ageism inherent in their sports reporting. And yes, I did say strongly worded!!!

He missed out the 'Super' before substitute though.BigGrin

One of my colleagues saw the report and mis-read it and thought that I had scored the own-goal.

I hope you described your volley in detail to him/her then? Did you mention the words "Van Basten" as Dan did in his report at church?

Shocked by the fact our top of the table clash got a couple of lines I expect next week when Nailsea beat us that there will be some more information on the win Sad . Also surely game of the day (maybe not a great advert for league) was Widcombe v BS4 a yellow card two reds extra time and pens and only a line obviously Chris didn't get much info from the managers of the teams in question ThumbDown .

Cue Ian with the link anytime soon Wink

Oooh Rich, tell us more about the red cards!! I beleive Chris has to submit the details by Sunday night so often he cannot rely on what is on Full Time as it doesn't become viewable until Ben locks it. So he relies on details on here plus text messages. If teams aren't getting the coverage, they only have themselves to blame. Besides, I have a bet with chris that he can't think of 10 different ways of talking about an aged Peregrine in one season.

So buzzin to being a Master marksman.

Chris, if I score against you in the next round could you refer to me as the Master Chirpser?

Going back a couple of posts, I tried texting Spits earlier on this season, but got a failed message - said his number didn't exist?!? Anyone got a working number for him?

The matter is being addressed through the correct channels.

The lack of info was deliberate because I didn't want it going in the paper.

What I will say is that the 9 on the pitch kept the game even all the way to the lottery of penalties. We could have done it in extra time even. Although I was disappointed to see players being dismissed, I was very proud of the lads who stayed on the pitch and the way they battled in the face of adversity.

Where is the EP link I've refused to use Bens thinking it was getting posted up here. Wink

Well done on using correct channels by the way bout time we actually used the committee to vent our issues and not the forum Applause
