In a rearranged league game, Slip beat Woodies 4-1 this morning. Woodies took an early lead, before Slip hit back with goals from Dan Flynn and a Mike Sergeant og. Further goals in the 2nd half from Tim and Lewis sealed the points.

Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

No-one's interested in meaningless friendly games Nath.... Wink It was a good run out, thought we played some good football at times but didn't take our chances or look quite clinical in front of goal. Slip defended pretty well and hit us on the break a couple of times as well as an awful route 1 goal Wink. We looked rusty after 2 weeks off which was exactly why this game was arranged prior to this weekend's games. We were obviously disappointed to lose (especially to Slip) but the aim of the game was the run out and our fitness looked a bit iffy in the last 20 mins so we'll be better for it this Saturday.

No, sadly not. Played on astro, multiple rolling subs, and Woodies used 17 players I think.

and of course games can be played on an artificial surface

Law 1- the field of play

'Games may be played on natural or artificial surfaces, subject to the rules of the competition'.

If my memory serves me well I think Christchurch played SAS on an artificial surface last season

Much more rain and some games may well be off this Saturday. More rain is forecast for the Bath area Wednesday afternoon and night: and we have had quite a bit in the last few days -({|= The fields around the office are sodden though that is Filton. Water is pouring off the fields around the office onto the footpaths.Boo hoo!

Of course I wouldn't have if we'd lost the game. I realised it would probably confuse some people, but decided to leave my post as it was in the hope of winding up Eakes. Sadly, it would appear I failed in this aim.
