Yeah you've found some form at last. I'm not being arrogant, just going on last season. Maybe Pips can beat them again like earlier this season in the gfa cup. Just don't see them dropping as many points as us, Pips, you or SAS.
Congratulations to Woodies.

Well Eako, you did say in your first post that yesterday's match was the best you've seen your side play all season, why didn't you go and play another team instead of us! Agree with Dan though, BSXI do seem to be favourites still. Although they have some tough matches in two weeks (Woodlands) and in 2012, us, SAS and CC plus all the teams fighting in the bottom half will be eager to maaintain their Div 1 status. There are plenty of matches yet for plenty of twists and turns!

Walkover, Home Win

Don't think Corinthians could get a team. Was buzzing for a game as well. ha

We had quite a few chances to extend the league.

Sounds like you are finally conceding you are title contenders!!

Lol, a Freudian "slip" there I think, but yes, I'd have to concede we are title contenders. Not favourites, where I agree with most here that BSXI are still favourites, especially after extending their goal difference advantage this weekend. I agree with what people have said on here, there's a few teams that are in the mix at the moment - BSXI, us, Woodies, Pips. I think SAS have probably dropped too many points so far, unless they manage to go on an unbelievable run in the second half of the season. I agree with Dan though, in that I struggle to see who BSXI will drop points against. They have a bit of a mental block when it comes to us, but no such problems against anyone else. Having to hope Pips can take points off them next time they play, and that Woodies and SAS manage to take some points in at least one of their games. All are definitely capable of doing so, Pips already beat them in the GFA Cup, SAS were leading 1-0 at half time in the BCFA cup, but I wonder how much their players actually think they can do it. It's more than a year and a half since BSXI dropped points to anyone other than us in a league game, and almost two years since they lost a league game to anyone but us. Quite a run!

We're currently halfway through the season and have 21 points. If we can replicate that in the second half, 42 points would have been enough to win the league 3 seasons out of 7. However, every time BSXI have won the league, they've got more than that total.
Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Wasn't there but sounds like it was a cracker, Jon Hyde saved a penalty in the first half and Matt Paramore continued his fine form with the crucial winner on the hour, after a slip by their central defender. Some good defending throughout alllowed us to hold on for the win. A much needed win especially with some of the other results, just keeps us moving away from the wrong end of the table

Well done lads
Just completed my 21st consecutive BCFA season!
