To: GFA Council Members and League Secretaries An issue was raised at GFA Council last week concerning the action a referee could take if a participant urinates in a public area during a football match. The Football Association has advised that any participant who is seen by a match official to urinate in a public area, immediately before, during or after a match could be dismissed under Law 12 for “offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures”. The Association will advise all GFA registered match officials of the action that can be taken and I would be grateful if you could pass this message on to your clubs and consider posting a note on your league websites. Regards David Neale VCF Santos for Div 1 & 3 next season.

Idiots! Take Gordano's pitch as an example it's about half a mile from the changing rooms, if someone needed the toilet at half time we would have to take a 40 minute break. The only time you run out of chances is when you stop taking them.

Simon
I have forwarded the information on to John Pike Chief Exec at SFA for his take on the issue, as nothing has yet come out from the SFA and nothing is on their website This is important as we have clubs from both GFA and SFA registered in the league. The GFA clubs will know about it, SFA clubs not. It is also not only the BCFL that has clubs from both counties playing in Bristol based leagues.
I did notice that the statement says 'could be dismissed' and not 'will be'
