Due to GFA games this weekend our usual home pitch is not available. So I rearranged to play elsewhere, however they are being ridiculously over-protective of their pitch and looking like they will cancel. So I am in need of another pitch. Anyone got good suggestions with contact names? (I will try Patchway after work today). Cheers

I can give you Filwood's contact details if you're really desperate? Got BAWA too, but where were you due to play?
Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Hope you got my email re Packers.

It is a firm GFA Cup ruling though that if the home team's pitch is unavailable, the away team immediately become the home team instead. So you should be playing on the Downs. How can anyone be over protective about a Downs pitch?

Ian, got your email thanks. We have BAWA as a back up. Unfortunately the Downs has too many visiting teams tomorrow so no pitches available. Frustrating thing is because we pay a fixed fee for our pitch getting a pitch for GFA games is a double whammy, we not only have to pay for another pitch but we have to pay 100% of the cost plus the ref's fees !! Oh well, shouldn't complain as last year we went all the way to the semi final without playing a home game.

We get the same problem at Packers, fortunately even tho every GFA game was home last season, we got all bar 1 moved to the oppo ground, so we didn't pay for an alternative pitch and didn't pay for the ref either!
