I'll start the ball rolling then. Slip 2 Thornbury 1 Tough game. Missing quite a few from last week's heroics (5 I think), we started quite well for the first 10 mins, but then Thornbury got stronger and stronger. They prob should have scored earlier than when they did a couple of minutes before ht. Second half kicked off and we won a free kick immediately after a heavy Thornbury touch at the back. Cross in was flicked on and fell to debutant Paul Francis who stuck it away. Gave us confidence, and I think we probably edged the 2nd half, although either team could have won. In the end it was in the 90th minute when I managed to turn in a header from a corner. Still time for a couple of scares and near misses in injury time. Hard fought win, and credit to TBC who played pretty well, especially the first half. Now just waiting to hear the SAS and Pips results to see if we're still top..... Only BCFA team to beat BSXI 4 times since 12th December 2009.....

Castle Green 4-2 Corinthians of Bath Today we looked very lacklustre and maybe playing for the second time in under 48 hours took it's toll? Good start from Corinthians scoring from a bullet header from a corner and it looked like we were having a lie in!! Chances came and went for both sides then Dan Powell repeated exploits from Thurs night by slamming home another direct free kick from 20 yards out. In the second half, Dan got another (that's 6 in 3 from The Dog now), there was a rare Paul Alvis goal from wide on the left floating over everyone and in at the back post (it wasn't a cross, honest!) George Malyckyj then got the 4th to make up for the other couple he missed! Corinthians pulled one back with just a few minutes to go from another header in our box, a recurruring theme there I think lads? Sometyhing to work on in training maybe?? Anyway, good game, good spirit and nice to come away with the points. Hillfields 1 v Christchurch 8 Bit harsh on the lads as we were already down a keeper so Joe went in goal and then the ref didn't get out of bed (he has apologised) so James had to ref the game. Probably the two best outfield players in the first team and they weren't involved. Having said that Joe said they were still poor but would have been better had they kept Jay and Joe. Good win fo CC. Grace Church 7 v Hillfields 2 We were the better team in the first half and when we went 1-0 up looked like we could go on a win, however a dubious penalty got Grace church back. We then scored our second but again failed to keep the lead as Grace church scored again. HT 2-2 Then second half we just didn't turn up and Grace church went on to bang in 5. Well done to Grace church great bunch of lads. Bad day at the office for Hillfields Park Baptist FC hopefully we'll see better days :-) Has seen 4 lads through his team become Christians in the last 18 months or so - How awesome is that?

SAS 6 - 2 Woodies Goals: Dorney x 2 Brady x 3 Sinclair x1 [Woodies goals both from Ben Mitchell] Despite missing up to 6 players from our squad, we looked really good today...maybe even the best I've seen us play for 45 mins or so. For me, without a doubt dropping Josh M into a holding midfield role was the key difference - for a change we looked organised all over the pitch and that in turn led to everyone individually raising their game. Also good to know the squad we have can cope with weeks like this with so many missing. The boss (Nathan) is on honeymoon at the moment, but he should definitely be happy when he gets back to hear we've taken 6 points from our first two games Need to give a shout to Brady too for his hat-trick, in particular the +30yard rocket he unleashed in the second half! Ben M up front for them looked as decent as ever - he was given 2 chances (unfortunately for us they were given to him by us, again!) and took them both very well.

The joys of modern technology has meant that I've been managing the team Arsene Wenger like from the 'stands' (or should that read 'balcony'!) except my boys are playing better than his! Dead chuffed with the boys and JC and Matty for looking after affairs in my absence. I've already offered my resignation! I mentioned to the new Mrs James that 6 points has been one of the highlights of the honeymoon and now she's not talking to me! Off to recover the situation... Wish me luck!

Racing Santos 1-5 Suburbs Glad to get another win today, Santos played some good football but they were down to 10 men in the first half as their captain got sent off for handling the ball on the line! It was like Luis Suarez's at the world cup! I don’t feel we played that well but we took our chances.. Mitch Hayward, Mike Duggan, Steve Thomas and James Weir were our goal scorers and the other was an own goal. Suburbs United

Oasis 5 hay hill 1
Another good result today giving us maximum points so far... Hay hill passed the ball well but lacked the killer final pass whereas we were more clinical in that aspect. Bit gutted about not getting our first clean sheet, bit of a dodgy penalty decision that even some of their players were confused by!

We were absolutely gutted to lose this morning. It was one of those games where we never felt we were going to lose....until Slip scored the winner late on. We had the chances but couldn't take them, and having scored just before half time we should have been on the up but Slip scored almost straight from the restart which is what we didn't need. We have to defend better from set pieces and the Slip boys always looked dangerous from free kicks and corners. Good to be back in the top flight but not the winning start we had hoped for. TBC goal from Joe Maiden.

Powerhouse 5 - 3 Bristol Pistols A nightmare game with the wind and our small pitch causing problems. We looked to be in total control after going 2-0 ahead but a couple of silly mistakes defending allowed Pistols to stay in the game. The second half started scrappy but we eventually made our superiority tell and pulled away with a couple of quick goals. Some tough challenges left its mark as one of our guys had to go to hospital after the game. Division 3 champions 2011
